Ladies Dresses Are a Must to Create an Impression
Dresses are not one-size-fits-all types of clothing and finding the right dress designs can be quite difficult for many ladies of different body types. Shopping for that perfect outfit gets even more complicated if the store does not have the clothing size for a specific design a shopper likes or vice versa.
The good news is different body types are considered by clothing designers every time they come up with designs for prom and evening dresses. USA and European customers will face fewer hassles when they shop for these outfits for important events. Here is a guide on which dresses will work just right for each body type.
1. Straight body type. Also known as rectangular or banana, almost half of women in this country fall into this category. The bust, waist, and hips are not as defined compared to other physiques. Women who have this body type are commonly called as athletic and shopping for outfits is not really a big issue for them.
Some women who are under this category should emphasize their best assets, such as their shoulders, arms, and legs. This can be done by wearing halter and one shoulder necklines that will show off the arms and shoulders, and distract the eye from the bust area. They can compensate for that shape by showing off those great legs with dresses with short skirts.
2. Hourglass body type. Women who have this type of body are considered ideal because of those proportional bust and hips, and a trim waistline. It is relatively easy to find the right outfit for this type and they can choose clothes that will emphasize their superb figure. V-, square, one-shoulder, and off-the-shoulder necklines are great for showing off that bust, but it should not be too risqué to be considered trashy. Nearly all types and lengths of skirts will go well with this physique.
3. Pear body type. A woman who has a small bust, trim waist, and wide hips are the ones who have this body shape. It can be a little difficult to shop for clothes for women who have this shape, but there are some points they need to consider. They should go for wider necklines and more details on the sleeves, such as gowns with puff, bishop, or dolman sleeves. Tight and clingy skirts should be avoided.
4. Apple body type. Ladies who have ample figures characterized by a full bust and little to no-definition waistline are those who have this body shape. Having this type does not necessarily mean they are fat or overweight. They can show off those curves with dress designs that have cinched waistlines and they can wear belts or corsets that provide an illusion of an elongated waist.
